About the Academy:
Blevins Academy of Dance and Drama is a performing arts school offering the widest range of classes in the local area for individuals aged 3 to adult. Our classes include Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, Tap, Flexibility and Conditioning, Hip-Hop, Adult Dance Fitness, Acting and Musical Theatre and we only hope to expand this over time. We aim to build confidence, develop technique and improve fitness whilst making friends and most importantly having fun! There will numerous opportunities throughout the year for students to take examinations and perform in a competitive and non-competitive environment in local festivals, competitions and Academy shows. We aim to maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere so that all individuals feel valued as a member of our Academy and can strive to reach their utmost potential.
Our conveniently located studio is within 15 minutes of many local towns and villages including Tandragee, Portadown, Richhill, Gilford, Laurelvale and Markethill – to name just a few! With brand new interior and ample parking spaces it provides a safe and secure environment for all involved.
Studio Address: 50 Portadown Road (Unit 1), Ballymore Service Station (a.k.a. Supervalu), Tandragee, BT62 2JU
Hannah Blevins is the head teacher and choreographer at Blevins Academy of Dance and Drama. She is incredibly passionate about the performing arts and has studied and competed broadly from the age of four, both in Northern Ireland and overseas. Having received training and qualification in RAD Ballet, BTDA Ballet, BTDA Tap, BTDA Modern-Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip-Hop and Zumba, Hannah is currently a provisionally registered British Theatre Dance Association teacher.
Hannah’s enthusiasm not only lies in dance but also in acting and musical theatre. From starring in numerous amateur and professional stage productions, featuring in music videos – most notably Rihanna, part-time modelling and landing supporting roles for the BBC (film and TV) alongside actors such as David Suchet (better known as Poirot) and Ian Hart (of Harry Potter fame), her enthusiasm is very evidently wide spread across the arts. With experience in teaching individuals of all ages and abilities, in March 2013 Hannah decided to begin a new venture – Blevins Academy of Dance and Drama – with the hope of sharing her knowledge and passion for performance. From then the school has gone from strength to strength and now boasts over 250 students!
